SCCT is recruiting a new Chief Executive

Sutton Coldfield Charitable Trust is recruiting a new Chief Executive at a very exciting time in its history. After a successful four and a half years at the helm, Tina Swani is stepping down as Chief Executive of the Trust in December.

Tina joined the Trust in July 2020 in the midst of the pandemic and worked with staff and Trustees to develop its first long-term strategic plan, establish closer relationships with grant applicants and to embed equality, diversity and inclusion as a priority throughout the fabric of the Trust.

“The Board of Trustees would like to thank Tina for her passion, commitment and professionalism during her time with us. Working with the Board she has developed our strategic plan which sets out the aims and ambitions of the Trust for the next 5 years leading us into our 500th anniversary.”

Tina says “It has been a real joy and inspiration to work with the SCCT team and trustees who have been highly responsive to the challenges faced by the residents of Sutton Coldfield. I have been extremely fortunate that Andrew Burley was Chair of Trustees when I joined and to be working with our current Chair, Keith Dudley, both of whom have led the progressive Board in these times of great challenge and opportunity.

“It has been a huge privilege to lead such a unique organisation and I will miss both the SCCT team and being part of the brilliant work they do to improve the lives of residents in the Royal Town.”

Sutton Coldfield Charitable Trust (SCCT), which traces its history back to Tudor times, provides almshouses and gives out annual grants of £1.5 million.

Matt Baird, of Spirehouse Recruitment, is leading the search for a new Chief Executive

Matt said: “I am honoured to be working with SCCT on the acquisition of a new Chief Executive. Having recruited in the Supported Housing, Social Housing and Almshouse arenas for over 11 years, and having recently supported SCCT in the recruitment of an Almshouse Manager, I have been astounded and delighted to see the positive culture and impact that SCCT has on the community it serves.

“Seeing the incredible position that Tina has shaped the business into is brilliant to witness - and being trusted to aid SCCT in finding the right person to pass on the torch to share the vision, values, and beliefs of such a wonderful organisation is a true privilege”.
